Fox News 宣傳人工影響天氣,它仍然是一個陰謀論嗎?

Apparently weather modification is only a conspiracy theory when the alternative media talks about it, even when the existence of the practice is completely and totally irrefutable.
When we discuss weather modification (also known as geoengineering) and associated projects it is a paranoid conspiracy theory. When Murdoch-owned Fox News talks about it, it is a legitimate choice to help stem the tide of wildfires sweeping the state of Texas.

As the video reveals, weather modification is nothing new. The woman featured in the clip mentions that the state of Texas stopped being able to match funds for the program in 2002, meaning that the program is at least 8-9 years old.
In reality, weather modification has been in use for decades, going all the way back to the Vietnam War with a U.S. military cloud seeding project known as Operation Popeye, Project Popeye, Motorpool, and Intermediary-Compatriot.

The projects ran from 1966 to 1972 and used the exact same technology mentioned in the Fox News video: silver iodide. This technology worked as planned all the way back in the 60s, so hearing people dispute the reality of weather modification in modern times is laughable at best.
It is interesting to see how vehemently the mainstream corporate controlled media denies the existence of weather modification, especially in the form of so-called “chemtrails”.

Even when the same news channels will cover weather modification and even go so far as to praise its efficacy, they still have the gall to attempt to call chemtrails a conspiracy theory.
How can any news outlet or self-respecting journalist look at a plane engaging in cloud seeding with silver iodide, an irrefutable fact, and then in the same breath claim that weather modification and chemtrails are a conspiracy theory?

A great example of such Orwellian doublethink can be seen in the Wikipedia article devoted to weather modification.
Under the heading of “conspiracy theories” it is mentioned that so-called conspiracy theorists “question the possibility of using weather control as a weapon”.
Yet, Operation Popeye was a real project which indeed used weather modification as a weapon against the Vietnamese. This is clearly not a conspiracy theory. There is no theory involved in stating an irrefutable fact.
Will the mainstream media stop pretending it is a paranoid delusion to acknowledge a fact? Or, will they continue to systematically deceive and confuse the American public? Unfortunately, I think it is the latter.
